Greetings Math Students,

No NEW homework tonight to complete for class tomorrow, but....

I STRONGLY advise taking your H and R home tonight and simply reading over the story problems from this Unit 3.  The test ALWAYS takes it's problems right from the homework.  Read those corrected problems over and review in your mind how we suggested solving those.  It might only take 5-10 minutes, but it will be great preparation for tomorrow Unit 3 Test.

Take care.

Greetings 4th Grade Math Students,

Here is the homework for tonight (but not due till Thursday)

Kiwi Group:

We did not finish out lesson on remainders today.  So we only assigned the problems we didn't do on last night's homework...so page 81, but this time do 4-6, and 10-12.  Also, just provide the actual answer, don't worry about doing the estimation.  We decided we'd rather check our work with multiplication.

Papaya and mango groups:

Pages 83 and 84 for Thursday.  Make sure to provide one of the 5 possibilities of how to use the remainder in the story problems.  Use the purple notes sheet for help.

*All groups...mini quiz Wednesday
*Unit 3 Test is next Wednesday, December 17

That's all folks,

Mr. K

Greetings 4th Grade Math Students,

Here is the homework for Monday night:

Mango and Papaya:  Please do both 73 and 74 (no #4 for any group on page 74, they're getting plenty of practice on the page before.  Student's may also solve the problem however they choose on problem #3 page 74)

*Kiwi group only needed to do 1-3, and 7-9, plus 10 and 11, on page 73  *(Page 74 is optional)
-this gave them more room to work.

Continue practicing patience was we go through our work with division.  It is a daily process.  Each day I have 1-5 kids who have the LIGHT GO ON, but if that hasn't happened yet, we have plenty of time.  Don't worry.
